Ofsted visited Pooh Corner Kindergarten and graded them outstanding
Pooh Corner Kindergarten was visited by the Office for Standards in Education aka Ofsted on the 1st November. Shana Laffy Ofsted inspector was impressed with the quality of teaching at the nursery and the resources and activities available. Pooh Corner Kindergarten runs from St Georges Church in Kensington. It is part of a family run business consisting of eleven nurseries; the company was founded in 1991 by Carol Evelegh and her late husband. All the nurseries in the group are set within central London and are easily accessed. They are bright vibrant safe and secure with an excellent staff to child ratio. The staff team at Pooh Corner have a shared passion to provide the best possible care and education to the children and their families supporting modern family life, a variety of sessions are available term time.
Parents can be involved in their child’s learning at nursery and are supported to continue this at home. The team meticulously plan fun and engaging yet purposeful educational activities. Activities are designed to follow the early year foundation stage curriculum. Children can also enjoy forest school opportunities on a regular basis. Pooh Corner is a safe and inviting nursery environment committed to safeguarding the children in their care and their welfare. Pooh Corner Kindergarten W8 was first registered in 2014.
