Highest Ofsted grade for Treetops Brook Bank
Gemma Norman the nursery manager at Treetops Brook bank was joined on the 31st August 2017 by the Office for Standards in Education where they inspected the nursery from top to bottom. Their findings concluded the nursery is outstanding through and through. The effectiveness of leadership and management is very strong; Gemma has a clear vision of how she wants to drive the nursery forward maintaining the best grade and standards. The inspector stated the quality of teaching learning and assessment is fantastic. Staff and children enjoy a unique environment both indoors and outdoors which is rich and stimulating. Outside there is a castle in the garden area for children to climb and explore developing their imagination.
Upon joining nursery each child is assigned a key person to help look after their individual needs and support them through their learning journey. The staff plan a varied purposeful play programme with daily activities such as messy and sensory play, role play and home corner they also offer free extracurricular Spanish lessons.Staff self-assessment procedures ensure practitioners are constantly evaluated and supported on their own career development. The nursery holds regular staff meetings and training sessions ensuring all staff are working to the highest possible level. The outcomes for children were found to be excellent and links between home and nursery are fabulous with strong partnerships between nursery staff and parents sharing information regularly.
